A non-profit organization focused on activating the next generation of engaged citizens, the Institute brings together game design, rigorous research practices and strong interdisciplinary partnerships to create, study and promote game-based materials, strategies and systems as critical tools for personal and social development.

Founded by Nichole Pinkard, a professor at DePaul University, DYN supports students' interest-driven engagement in new media using a mentor model that facilitates the development and sharing of expertise across age and generation.
